STAFF NURSE - CHILDREN'S DISABILITY RESPITE SERVICES

The Talbot Group are seeking a Registered Nurse who is looking for an
exciting opportunity to grow their career within a rewarding
environment. The successful nurse (RNID/RPN/RGN) will be working in a
brand new Respite Service for Children with Intellectual Disabilities
in North County Dublin.
The successful applicant will be required to provide nursing care
which meets the practical, physical and emotional needs of service
users, with an intellectual disability and assist them to achieve
their highest level of functioning in order to maintain independence
or to improve skills that will make them more independent. Respecting,
valuing and fostering the service user?s personal development,
quality of life and abilities is central to the role of the Staff
Nurse. The Staff Nurse will also be responsible for the supervision of
other staff under his/her direction and to take a leadership role
whilst on duty.
They will operate as part of a Multi Disciplinary Team providing
comprehensive medical and social care services to our residents. The
suitable candidate should be suitably qualified with a degree in
Nursing and An Bord Altranais registered.
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Experience in managing or working in a service for children with
Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and/or Mental Health
* Up-to-date knowledge of HIQA regulations
